Moira O'Sullivan is a director, actor and dramaturg based in New England. Currently, she is the Literary & Artistic Coordinator at Barrington Stage Company.
As an actor, she has appeared Off Broadway and in regional theaters across New England. She trained at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and Atlantic Theatre Company and completed the advanced improv program at Upright Citizens Brigade. Favorite theater credits include: Beneath the Gavel (59E59), Dream Hou$e (Long Wharf), Biloxi Blues, It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play (Ivoryton Playhouse), Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley (Playhouse on Park), and Always a Bridesmaid (Seven Angels). After ten years performing in NYC, she began to pivot into directing for the stage and has continued on that path, working as a Directing and Dramaturgy apprentice at Portland Stage and serving as Director of New Works at Playhouse on Park for two seasons. She has directed everything from new operas to theater for young audiences and continues to tell stories that keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
A champion of new work, she has served on the script selection committee for the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, NAMT Festival of New Musicals, McKnight Fellowship in Playwriting at the Playwrights Center, Clauder Competition for New England Playwrights and the Jewish Plays Project.
